Aveeno Acne lotion

Best acne wash for combination skin…..please help!?

I have combination skin. I just broke out 2 days ago,and I look like crap. I have 1 zit on my nose,1 on my cheek and 3 on my upper-lip. I’ve tryed toothpaste to get rid of them, and it works……………ok. But I need a new acne wash! If you have combo. skin, please tell me! I also get really dry skin a lot (it peels)…………….any home remedies and links would be appreciated! thanks!

ps: I use the wave, clean and clear morning burst scrub, wash and lotion. and Aveeno Lotion…………..no expensive stuff please! but it has to be under $50…………………thanks!
Also, would oil absorbing sheets work……….i wear some make up:mascara eyeshadow and eyeliner. and the products i use now don’t work…..

1. Cetaphil Wash
2. Neutrogena OTC 2.5% benzoyl peroxide
3. Cetaphil Moisturizer (if your skin is naturally dry. SKIP this if your skin is naturally oily)

Those are the basic things you can do by yourself.

I’d highly recommend seeing a dermatologist as well. There’s even more they can offer. Possibilities include:
1. Nicomide: an anti-inflammatory vitamin
2. Oral abx: any number of oral antibiotics can help with acne
3. Topical abx: rare to be used alone but some dermatologists will try this
4. Topical retinoids: the money medication. This is typically the most effective and can actually reduce wrinkles and reduce redness from previous acne marks.
5. Oral retinoids: the most effective but can only be prescribed by dermatologists because of the significant adverse effect profile
