Why do i have a patch of scaly skin just above my cheek bone and how do i get rid of it? ?

IT doesn’t look horrible and can’t even notice from far away, but if you step close, just above my cheek bones is a small patch of small scales-looking skin. its all the same skin color but when i smile it gets kind of wrinkly. this has never happened to me before. how can i get rid of this? i will list the products i use on my face if that helps :

Everything was fine until a couple days ago i started to notice it. i used a mask and then brushed of any dead skin cells with a toothbrush afterwords that used ponds dry skin cream then i put Vaseline on it cause i thought it would help and it did but not entirely. so what is it? and how can i get rid of it completely?

i have that exactly same problem a week ago. now i wonder if ponds could be the culprit becoz i also use that one. CELETEQUE oil-free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic solved this problem. i put tons of it at night. and i mean really tons, like it looked like i washed my face with that moisturizer. anyway, it doesn’t bother me at all becoz it’s water-based. in the morning i also put on a little before i put on my moisturizer. of course i let it dry for like ten minutes before applying my foundation. after like five days, the scaly patch disappeared. i hope this will help you.
