How can I get my eczema under control?
I have eczema on my lower legs, and it’s flaring now and I just don’t know how to get this calmed down. I can’t use steroid creams, they just make it worse. I use all natural soap with no fragrance in the shower and then lather up with Aveeno Eczema Cream when I’m still wet. I’ve gone to the dermatologist for years and it seems like the only thing that cleared it was a mixture he would order with coal tar and Talconex (I think that’s what it’s called). He’s not in my insurance plan anymore, and my new dermatologist seems to think straight up steroid creams are just fine, she won’t order me the mixture. Any over the counter suggestions? My skin is so tough from the scratching, yet I’m still scratching so much I’m bleeding. Help!!
I had that same problem too. I was given a steriod cream and that took care of my problem. Believe me, I tried EVERYTHING over the counter at so many drug stores. Nothing worked until I went to my doctor. You may want to get your blood sugar levels checked. I went to my doctor and he just checked my blood sugar level and it was high…diagnosed as a diabetic. Now that I have my blood sugar under control, I have never NEVER had that recoccuring rash back again.
