I dont have acne, but i do have a lot of blackheads and whiteheads. Will proactiv help me with that? Also i have combination dry oily skin so does it moisturize well?

What do I apply after using a facial scrub?

I have deep blackheads and have been using a Clean & Clear facial scrub. I has an Aveeno Spf moisturizer and a Proactiv toner.

Biore pore strips actually stick to black heads and pull them out of your nose. The only con is that sometimes it can hurt. they are under 10 dollars for a box of 6. Just remember to wet your face really well. if this doesn’t work go for The Clarisonic Mia. Good Luck!

Proactiv and Acne? Extra Gentle Formula Kit? Dry SKIN! Plz HELP?

Hi,
I have been using proactiv, and it dried out my skin very very bad, so i called the 1-800 number up and they switched me to this Proactiv Extra Gentle Formula Kit. Has anyone tried it, and does it work? Did it dry your skin out? Also, are there any good oil free moisturizers out there that you reccomend? And, Is salicylic Acid AntiBacterial.

Some of those medications will dry your skin out a lot.

I’m telling you that from experience.

The thing with acne is it’s partly genes but I think it has more to do with hormones, testosterone, estrogen, all of that.

Meaning you might just have to wait it out. Some people recover quickly from acne. Others have a more prolonged period of exposure to it. I’m 21 and I still have some acne, and I’ve been on medication for a while.

I recommed Minocycline and a doctor-prescribed cream.

I’m not trying to make you feel bad or hopeless, just personal experience.

I think my face is kinda sensitive, because I tried Proactiv, made my face itchy, red and burn. Then I tried Clinique and the same thing happened. So, what should I do next? My mom told me to use plain soap and water, and some Clean and Clear lotion we bought. What else should I try? For washing and moisturizing?
I have combination skin, and I have a lot of pimples, like 10!
I’m 14 also.
Well, I don’t know if maybe my face is turning red because I have been changing my face wash a lot. Like, I used Proactiv, then I got some Aveeno crap, then Clinique, all in like 1-2 weeks. So, maybe I should just chill and use soap and water for a week or two, and try something else?

try something that has low accylic acid.. and get something for sensitie skin. your mom is right to use soap and water. but get a dove soap bar…it helps your skin to be soft. good luck

The deep wrinkle treatment will be better. Also, you should avoid the sun on your face as much as possible, and use a moisturizer with an spf under your makeup. If you already have wrinkles at 26, you will really have to take good care of your skin.
