Would this be too much for my skin?
I want to get olay pro x cleansing system which is like The Clarisonic. I’m not going to use it everyday, just like 3 times a week probably. But I also want to get the olay microdermabrasion and peel kit and use that when I use the cleansing brush. I get a lot of dead skin on my face due to medication from my dermatologist. Would this be too much for my skin?
Way too much!
Your dead skin on your face . . . . caused from an allergic reaction.
Cleansing brush, back in the olden days, before there was an Olay products, before the shelves were polluted with beauty products? People in the 60′s, 50′s, 40′s, etc . . . have used a wash cloth each time they take a bath. I still used a wash cloth, plus avoiding the sun, and we have baby soft skin, we have less diseases, and we didn’t have MANY ALLERGIES and less skin poisoning.
We used a bar of soap for our bodies, hair, & laundry.
The less products you use, the better for your skin and less product poisoning. Some skin and hair care products can cause acne. To help prevent and control acne flare-ups, take good care of your skin. For example, use a mild soap or cleanser to gently wash your face twice a day. Choose “non-comedogenic” make-up and hair care products. This means that they don’t close up the pores. I use a bath wash like Suave, Irish Spring, Dove (for ex.) Bath & Body wash when I take a shower, with a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday.
If you’re OVER SENSITIVE AND ALLERGIC TO ALMOST, lotions can and will add to more discolorations on your skin AND WILL NOT protect your from burns, cancer, or allergies even those tested by dermatologists.
EVEN IF A PRODUCT IS LABELED “HYPOALLERGENIC,” IT MAY CONTAIN SUBSTANCES THAT CAN CAUSE ALLERGIC REACTIONS.
Good thinking! Question 6b is True!
After all, people are individuals. And there’s no telling what any individual may be allergic to. According to the cosmetic industry, “hypoallergenic” means “less likely to cause an allergic reaction.” But dermatologists – and consumers who have allergies – know that the word “hypoallergenic” on the label is no guarantee against an allergic reaction.
SENSITIVE SKIN? Skip the gels and waterproof formulas. They contain more alcohol, as well as an ingredient called propylene glycol, which many people are allergic to. Water just can’t get in (sunscreen for ex.) but sweat also can’t get out – which can cause breakouts.
CHOOSING PRODUCTS WITH THE CLAIM “DERMATOLOGIST TESTED” IS A WAY TO AVOID AN ALLERGIC REACTION OR OTHER SKIN IRRITATION.
Nope! Question 6c is False!
“Dermatologist tested” doesn’t really tell you much, does it? It leaves you wondering about things like:
•Did the dermatologist work for the manufacturer?
•How many people was the product tested on?
•How long did the testing last?
•What were the results of the testing?
Remember, poison ivy is all natural, too! But you probably don’t want it on your skin. It is very possible to have an allergic reaction, or other irritation, from products labeled “all natural” or “organic.” For example, lanolin, from sheep’s wool, is a common natural ingredient in some moisturizers that sometimes causes allergic reactions.
