Facial’s and how does it work on your face?

I have very sensitive skin and I also have a mild acne (mostly around the jaw line). Recently, I had my first facial and I got to admit it felt really good, however, right after that same day I started to notice lots of little white heads around my jaw line (especially the right side of my face). So, I call the place were I have my facial done and I was told that it was perfectly natural. That whole week I had these white head on my face and so I made another appt. to go back and have them extracted. So, it got extracted and now I think my face looks worse. I have some redness and red pumps on my face. Is this supposed to happen or is my skin getting irritated by the products they are using? By the way they used Dermalogica. Please advice.

To my knowledge, dissolving and sloughing the stratum corneum and excess keratin (which is what they do when they exfoliate) does not speed up the process of the skin cycle. A product they used probably inflamed your follicles trapping bacteria and such. You wouldn’t get such a quick reaction if it simply clogged your pores.

Extractions can be harsh on sensitive skin, yes. I would advise emu oil to help with inflammation and healing.

SAY GOODBYE TO SPOTS!
