Can a store sell beauty products without a tamper resistant seal outside of the original package?
Is it legal for a store to sell a beauty product that is taken outside the original package? I bought an olay face cream from a company off amazon. It was not in original package and just wrapped in bubble wrap. I checked negative comments about store online and found that this had been other peoples complaint as well. I bought product to try as I have a rebate form that I now can not use as I do not have UPC code off the original packaging and also how can I be assured that the product was not tampered with?
They either removed item from box to save on shipping or it’s a knock off cream in identical packaging. Was it mentioned on the page that item will be shipped without original box? If not then you file a complaint against them thru amazon. Deceitful practice if it was not mentioned. good luck.
