how to use proactiv & avoid redness and inflammation?
i use the normal proactiv line (not sensitive) – toner, lotion, cleanser, refining mask (which i’ve been doing for probably two weeks or so) and daily oil control (which i just started today). after i use proactiv, my acne gets redder and more inflammed then it did when i just shower. what should i do to keep my face from being red & inflammed ? i called proactiv and they said sometimes the product is too strong for people so they only use it once a day and they still get the same results. what should i do in the morning and what should i do at night to get rid of acne yet not irritate it ?
I would try just washing your face with warm water in the morning and putting on the oil control lotion . Then at night use the 3step system. Try that for about a week and if you still have redness and inflammation or at anytime it gets worse, stop using because the benzoyl is probably irritating to your skin. You might want to try murad or something that doesn’t have benzoyl in it. Hope that helps!
