if i don’t scratch, keep it hydrated with eucerin, and take quick, cool showers with Aveeno Body wash, my eczema should go away, right?

I really hope it will works but a better option, try this cream (Elomet Memetasone Furoate Cream). I got it from a doctor and it really works.

How can I get my eczema under control?

I have eczema on my lower legs, and it’s flaring now and I just don’t know how to get this calmed down. I can’t use steroid creams, they just make it worse. I use all natural soap with no fragrance in the shower and then lather up with Aveeno Eczema Cream when I’m still wet. I’ve gone to the dermatologist for years and it seems like the only thing that cleared it was a mixture he would order with coal tar and Talconex (I think that’s what it’s called). He’s not in my insurance plan anymore, and my new dermatologist seems to think straight up steroid creams are just fine, she won’t order me the mixture. Any over the counter suggestions? My skin is so tough from the scratching, yet I’m still scratching so much I’m bleeding. Help!!

I had that same problem too. I was given a steriod cream and that took care of my problem. Believe me, I tried EVERYTHING over the counter at so many drug stores. Nothing worked until I went to my doctor. You may want to get your blood sugar levels checked. I went to my doctor and he just checked my blood sugar level and it was high…diagnosed as a diabetic. Now that I have my blood sugar under control, I have never NEVER had that recoccuring rash back again.

is it good or bad or is it better if i use a face cream?

you can put body lotion on your face. but be careful if you have sensitive or acne prone skin….the lotion can cause irritation and make breakouts worse. if you have generally normal skin, it is totally safe to use lotion on your face. But it always good for your complexion to use a face wash that suits your skin type

What’s the best lotion for really, really dry skin?

My girls have eczema. My skin is very dry. We’ve used eucerin, aveeno, st Ives, vaseline and a few others. Are there any suggestions for something that goes on easy and lasts longer than 5 minutes?

Ok girl I know what you mean I have really dry skin and I do have a lotion that is nice and all but I really recommend Butter over lotion.. Its supr moisturizing and I use the Delizioso Natural Cranberry lemon. It has a really yummy scent.. which makes me want to eat it.. but anyway it pretty big for like 15.00 and lasts long cause just a little goes a long way…

What would be good soap and lotion to use on my son dry skin?

I took my son to his doctor yesterday. Having really hard time getting rid of his eczema. The doctor prescribe him something. But she told me to use something really thick to put on his really dry skin. What would be a good kind of lotion and soap to wash him with that could help him out. I had tried Aveeno Lotion that relieve itch and extra dry skin but that not helping any. We been dealing with this for months. I am changing our laundry soap I thought maybe I should with his soap I wash him with. I was using baby soap. Any good ideas would be good. Thanks

Anyone tried Aveeno Ultra-calming Night Cream?

I have good skincare products, but was hoping I could add the Aveeno Ultra-calming night cream to my nightly routine, to reduce facial redness. Do you recommend it? I don’t have any serious skin problems (like acne or rosacea) just a little redness on my nose and cheeks… Thanks

I don’t use the night cream, but I use the daily moisturizer with SPF 15 and I really like it. It is a great product.

perioral dermatitis? help!!?

i’ve had the telltale rash around my mouth and chin for a few months now and its gotten worse over the past few weeks i assume because of the cold dry weather. i’m so confused with all the things i read online. i have an appt with the derm in a few days but in the meantime i’m not sure if what i’m doing is hurting or helping. i wash with cetaphil and put Aveeno Lotion on my face to keep it from flaking and feeling like it’s going to crack. at night i put my little’s brothers excema meds on it (desoximetasone) and aquafor as needed when it’s particularly painful. i use hypoallergenic makeup and non oil based makeup…any tips would be helpful! i’m also a little fuzzy on the prognosis for this…is this a chronic condition??

Hi..I think your derm can help the most. However, I found that changing toothpastes helped a lot. I switched to just using baking soda for a while and mine cleared out.
Also, I use mineral oil and find that it’s gentle and helps sooth my face.

Which Shaving Cream is the best & Good for sensitive skin?

Im a teenager and i use Skintimate signature Scents and everytime i shave i get razor burn & little nicks and cuts.Also when i shave it doesnt give me a close shave the next day some hair starts growing back. When i put lotion on my legs after shaving or even hours after shaving it burns and later on i notice some red bumps, So i dont put lotion on my legs but then its been making my legs dry, I want to know which shaving cream doesnt give me razor burn,can give a close shave ,& moisturizes my legs.
