Aveeno Calming Moisturizer

im allergic to Aveeno’s positively radiant moisturizer and i want to try the ultra calming line. bad idea?

for some weird reason i am allergic to the positively radiant moisturizers(even though it says “hypoallergenic”!!) but i can use the cleanser with no problem. i don’t know if i should bother trying the ultra calming line (mostly the moisturizer) or not. anyone else have really really sensitive skin and have the same problem? oh and my skin is so sensitive i can’t use any acne products, and my skin gets pretty dry too. right now im using jergens but id rather use aveeno to clear up red spots. the cleanser has done a pretty good job by itself so far though.

I have sensitive skin im also allergic to tht, I have a hard time finding lotions for me that I won’t break out. But right now the Johnsons works for me, until my skin gets use to it than I have to find a different one. Sucks.I can’t even use jergens.

I had combination skin, never really have big pimples but always have those ones that are skin tone color but tiny bumps. I’m looking for a moisturizer with spf 30 that wont make these bumps any worse. Would Aveeno Ultra Camlings spf 30 or Biore spf 30 work better?

How can I make my hands smoother?

The skin on the palm of my hands and fingers are pretty rough. I put on lotion regularly(twice a day usually) but they get rough after like 20 minutes. I use oil of olay quench but still nothing.

Are there any home remedies that I can use to get softer hands? I already eat well(lots of veggies and at least a gallon of water a day). I’m a guy by the way and I heard girls dont like rough hands haha

When you go to bed, put bag balm or vaseline on your hands, and then put gloves on. Do this every night for a week or two, and presto!

By the way, you rinse it off in the morning.

As long as the Aveeno isnt too thick, then you shouldnt have a problem. I know several people that prefer using a tinted moisturizer wtih an SPF.

I have used Oil of Olay for years, I highly recommend it. It has never left me looking or feeling greasy.
When O of O had the max SPF of 15 it still protected my face better than expensive sun screens protected my body.
I believe O of O to be the best, and it’s one of the less expensive products available.

I have Positively Radiant Moisturizer. I have combination skin, and it makes it a little oily. But you cleary have very dry skin, so it is worth a try. Aveeno has very good products, one of the best. But if you have realyl dry skin I would reccomend Neutrogena or Dove products.

I would reccommend watching these on Michelle Phan’s youtube channels to help you pick the best moisturizer for your skin. I watched these and it helped TREMENDOUSLY.

And you leave the vaseline on. It’s a moisturizer.

Good cruelty free facial moisturizer?

I’ve always used Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 and found out they test on animals. I have a list of companies that don’t test but I’m looking for people that know and have used a good facial moisturizer that has SPF and does not test on animals. I would prefer a drugstore brand but I’m willing to buy a department store brand if I need to. I have combination skin and I’m prone to breakouts. Thanks!

Oil of Olay – used to have different names in different countries. Why?

I went travelling about 10 years ago, and then in the UK we had a product called “Oil of Ulay”. However, at that time in other countries it was called “Oil of Olay”, “Oil of Ulan” or “Oil of Olan”. But it seemed to be the same stuff (not that I tested it personally!). What was the point of that? Anyone know the DEFINITE reason?

advertising reasons. sometimes olay doesnt have a meaning to them, but ulay does. Sometimes its a direct translation. And sometimes its because it would sound better over there. along with that, they also have different qualities. a ford car over here is crap, but over in europe, its the mercedes of all cars. and the mercedes over here, is like the lamborghini of all cars, but over in england, its a taxi. its all about marketing, advertising, and perception of the product.
